With about 20 hours on the plane since I got it, (it has over 100 now) it was time for the first big trip. John & Debra were having a homecoming flyin at the Kitfox Factory in Idaho so Drew and I decided to go see what it was all about. We left Friday afternoon and flew direct non-stop to Homedale ID. We arrived just after dark and setup camp by flashlight.
We spent 2 days checking out other planes, talking to builders / pilots / and interested builders. We took a bunch of flyout trips up and down the river to check out the area and hop rides for people interested in the Kitfox, which made for a nice weekend.
The trip home got a bit exciting as a large weather system had moved into the Pacific NorthWest (as usual) and we faced wind and rain coming up through the Columbia Gorge to get back home. All in all it was a great trip and we look forward to doing it again next summer!
