Nice flying

Filed under: Flying — Andy @ 11:30 pm

CloudsToday the weather cleared for the first time in 3-4 weeks. The sun was out, the sky was clear and the winds so calm you could see perfect reflections in Puget Sound. Emily and I flew from Auburn to the Olympics over Hood Canal, then south west to Ocean Shores. Heading back inland to Hoquim for fuel and then back home. We made a quick pass over Earl & Linda Lee’s place on Harstine Island along the way!Cloud reflection

Snow at Auburn

Filed under: Uncategorized — Andy @ 8:00 am

SnowSnow hit Auburn this week! Here’s the view one morning of the airport taxiway near my hanger. Don’t think there will be much flying for the next few days out here that’s for sure!

Fuel Lever

Here’s picture of my new fuel lever. I found it offered on VAF last month and decided it was a quick upgrade without re-plumbing for an Andair valve. It’s interesting that after flying with this new valve a bit, it’s actually much easier to turn the lever as the new handle has some material on both sides of the pivot point. It makes it balanced when you rotate it, compared to the paddle flipper style that was on originally.
